Stamp of the month: Kinda Eclectic... the last card of the month

Here's this week's card made with my Stamp of the Month, Kinda Eclectic. Because this is the last post with this set, I'm going to try and sum up why I love it:

  • There really are a good range of images in the set... and they all look awesome combined together.
  • They also look good alone! If you search 'Kinda Eclectic' on Pinterest, you'll see tons of cards made with just one or two of the images.
  • It looks beautiful in a range of colours, but I particularly like it in our two sets of In-Colors.
  • It looks good with other stamp sets, so you can mix and match it with the rest of your stash.
  • This is, I think, because there a crisp graphic images like the sunburst and more grungy images like the butterfly and spots.

Don't forget that if you buy Kinda Eclectic before the end of the month, I'll send you a kit for four cards to make with it for free! The kits have all the card, buttons, ribbon and patterned paper you need so you can just get stamping.

If you'd like to get this card in the mail, just comment here on what's making you happy this week. I'll be mailing last week's card to Judy!

Have an amazing week!

Stamp of the month: Kinda Eclectic

Trying something new... Stamp of the Month! This month I'm using Kinda Eclectic, a super-versatile set, and you'll see a number of cards (I'm hoping for one a week, so at least one more) all using this set so you can get an idea of how to stretch your stamps and get most use out of them.

It's not just Stamp of the Month because you'll see a lot of it. It's also because if you buy Kinda Eclectic during August, I'll mail you a kit to make 4 cards using the set, including this one! For free! Just click on the image of the set below to go straight to the store.

And because getting mail that isn't a bill is always nice, if you comment on this post telling me what made you happy today you'll go in the running to get this card in the mail, blank so you can give it away to someone who might have shown you a little kindness!

Have a happy Monday, and an awesome week!

Hope, a mixed media canvas

This canvas was a sample for a class I ran on the weekend on using spritzers, but was also something I'd had in my mind for a while now. The 'artwork' is done on Whisper White card, which is spritzed, stamped and trimmed before being glued to the spritzed canvas, and then embellished. It's an easy way to turn a card design you love into an inspiring item for your home or desk at work.

I've linked my supplies below, but briefly the images all come from Kinda Eclectic and the colours are mostly this year's In-Colors. The canvas comes in a set of 9 from Bunnings and is 4"X4". Comment if you have any questions!

SUPPLIES:
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic, Skinny Mini Alphabet
Ink: Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, mossy Meadow, Basic Gray
Paper: Whisper White
Accessories: Hexagon Punch
Embellishments: Beach House Washi
Other: 4" canvas, in pack of 9, Bunnings

It's a 'Love Story'

The new Project Life products are something I was really excited by in the new catalogue, and they don't disappoint in real life! I got both the Love Story card collection and accessory pack in a recent order, and while I quickly handed the card collection off to a friend to make her wedding guest book with, I'm keeping the accessory pack, and thought you might a closer look as the catty photo doesn't really do it justice.

For AU$16.95, you get 2 sets of alphabet stickers, in white and grey watercolour, 3 sheets of embellishment stickers, plain white script die-cut words, silver, and black white and grey, (all on 4X6 sheets) a roll of silver washi, a bag of black, white and silver sequins, and 8 gorgeous silver letterpress-style 3X4 cards.

These would be amazing in a wedding album, or to highlight someone's special day in your PL album, which is what I'll be using them for.

Order online using the link below, and be sure to comment or email is you have any questions!
